A Quick Feel Around Santa’s Sack Pt 1.

In a bid to get off Santa`s naughty list we`re posting a fine collection of good cheer and musical merriment. Indeed a seasonal first for mojophenia and some say, a desperate ploy to get what we want for Christmas this year. This quest will become many stocking sized posts but as always be sure to check out the artists a little further than the free download.

Denver based Dressy Bessy starts the audio snowball rolling. A holiday release complete with jangly keys and festive bells. Wonderfully laid back vocals, a touching testament that highlights the love felt around this time of year  – Mr Kringle`s is dedicated to and inspired by lead singer Tammy Ealom’s father, the late Terry Atherton. The upcoming album plans include full digital releases every three months starting in March 2012, with videos and limited edition vinyl along the way.  CD and vinyl collections will follow in 2013.

Yeah Yeah I know, Brandon Flowers & co hardly need the publicity these days but `The Cowboy`s Christmas Ball` can be filed under anonymous guilty pleasures and cheap cracker jokes. It`s surefire cringe worthy, The Killers do a fine job in not taking their selves too seriously (ok, maybe not the drummer, not sure he`s noticed), Pretty sure there`s not many bands putting together Christmas videos involving cowboys and robots this year.
