“Four dudes raised by alcoholic wolves. Fast rhythms and sweet melodies. Loud mouths. Leather jackets. Last spotted without t-shirts. Stripped down, New York-styled garage rock and roll that pays tribute to the punk and power-pop movement of the late 1970′s. This debut album is for those who like to shake and pogo”.
Picture a steaming night at the Marquee, Soho, London circa 1978, New Wave/Punk kids bouncing of the walls to an amphetamine induced tantrum, a fabulous image from exciting times for pre-digital guitar based music. Skip swiftly forward to our fast fix internet age, Wyldlife heavily invest in the essential Punk sneer and quick fire power chord, their Rock N Roll roots are as deep as the ink etched on singer Dave Feldman`s arms but hey! do you remember that rumor of Malcolm McLaren stealing Garage Punk from New York during a visit in the mid-seventies – These guys have New Wave heritage, it`s socially embedded in every new generation. The album, whether intentional or not also hits a rambling Rolling Stones influence, combine those dizzy Clash lead breaks and it morphs into a completely different rambunctious animal. The 10 track self-titled release is a whirlwind of three minute wonderment and singalong anthems, the lead single `City Of Inbreds` makes no excuses for it`s party excesses, there`s indulgence by the overflowing bucket full – I`m pretty sure Wyldlife aren’t gonna clear up the mess either.
