“Pontoons are an indie pop/rock band from New York City that released some well-received 7″ singles in the 90s. In November 2009, Tom Hunt and Christian Harper re-united and decided to record together again for the first time in almost fourteen years. The first single from these sessions, `Antidote`, was released on Feb 29th 2012, with a full-length album entitled Slow to follow later this year”.
Smooth and uncluttered Indie, `Antidote` exudes dreamy guitar noise, imagine an unplugged Placebo with a hazy 90`s Shoegaze passion – A meticulous attention to melodic detail right down to the beautiful hand-claps and upbeat chorus. Pontoons have obvious unfinished business, the forthcoming long player `Slow` should be something really quite special.
