“Paradors is a collaborative effort between musicians in Sweden, England and Canada. Every penny from all sold albums will go directly to MAG (Mines advisory group) which is a neutral and impartial organization that clears out landmines around the world. MAG (Mines Advisory Group) saves and improves lives by reducing the devastating effects armed violence and remnants of conflict have on people around the world. The initiative is the brainchild of Swedish musician and former aid worker Jesper Eriksson. Best known in the music industry as part of Swedish outfit The Auto Dropouts, Eriksson was inspired to raise money for MAG after spending six years as a development officer and witnessing first-hand the devastation caused by landmines”.
Ten original songs, emotionally absorbing and satisfyingly multi-generalized, Paradors are on formidable form with an underlying message complimenting a superb point of reference – How this Stockholm musician achieves the sound of a seasoned band is one of those wonderful conundrums. Jesper Eriksson`s uncanny talent for penning luxuriously warm Alternative-Pop with a talented cast of international collaborators is well proven, MAG Songs manages to capture these individuals in a truly inspirational state of affairs. There`s certainly no charity flag-waving with this record, just a simple and non-political nudge in the direction of a very noble cause.
Not in my lifetime or more alarmingly, my children`s, will we see the innocent completely protected from the insane and pointless activities we as a so called intelligent race partake. The young and defenseless suffer while the hate-laced warring fractions prepare for their next photo call !
