“Kurt von Stetten began experimenting with music and recordings in Boston during the summer of 1996. During this time, he began to experience terrible bouts of `self proclaimed` bromhidrosis (look it up), forcing him to record alone in his bedroom. For a period of 10 years, von Stetten holed up in his bedroom studio and learned how to play guitar and drums by recording himself over and over again. Since 2006 he has released a full-length album every year for the last 7 years on which he plays every instrument (Guitar, Vocals, Cello, Keys, Drums/Percussion and Bass)”.
Celebrate the avant-garde and wildly eccentric, Kurt von Stetten could gracefully fall between either musical environment and also just happens to be the drummer in Boston Indie favorites` The Longwalls`. Acute art-school literalism and mid 90`s Indie consonance, Stetten`s percussion forms a loop-like accompaniment around his gentle cautionary tales, in fact he`s credited in playing Guitars, Vocals, Cello, Keys, Drums/Percussion and Bass on the record – A superbly talented multi-Instrumentist that comes highly recommended – The new album Androlafi has a release date of February 19th, the first single `First Daughter is streaming below.
“Stetton’s seventh solo outing “Androlafi” is his most accomplished and self-assured, a record that proudly stands alongside DIY revisionists Kurt Vile and Ty Segall, and also the seminal 90s output of his heroes”.
